You might be here because…
Sometimes the usual explanations don't explain enough
Many people arrive here after trying things that helped a little, or not at all — and wondering what they've missed. Whatever brought you, you're not imagining it. Some common starting points:
Persistent pain and tension
Headaches, back pain, or whole-body tension that hasn't shifted — with or without a diagnosis, and even when scans come back "normal".
Carrying everyone else's needs
Healthcare workers, carers, parents, the person everyone leans on. Your own reserves have been running low for a while — and bodies keep the score of that.
Big life transitions
A new baby, a career change, grief, menopause or another life chapter that left you feeling untethered — and your body feeling it too.
Feeling unheard or overwhelmed
You've been told it's "just stress", or left appointments feeling nobody really listened. Anxiety, fatigue or a nervous system that feels stuck on high alert.
How support works
Regulate · Reconnect · ReCentre
A way of describing the movement of this work — not fixed stages, and never a script. Sessions are paced to where you are on the day.
-
Regulate
First, help your body find enough safety to settle. There's no pushing or forcing — the pace follows your capacity, and comfort comes before content.
-
Reconnect
Rebuild trust in your body's signals through guided movement, breath and body awareness — learning to read what your nervous system is telling you, rather than overriding it.
-
ReCentre
Bring it together: practical strategies you can use between sessions, in daily life, work and relationships — and a plan built with you, not for you.
What to expect online
Whole-person physiotherapy, from wherever you are
Every session is delivered by telehealth, so you can do this work from wherever feels safest — without adding travel time to an already full week.
-
Listen and assess
A proper conversation first — your history, your symptoms and what you've already tried — followed by a guided movement assessment, talked through step by step.
-
Work together at your pace
Sessions may include guided movement, breath and body awareness, with your comfort, consent and input shaping what happens — nothing is done to you.
-
Take manageable strategies into daily life
You leave with small, specific things to practise between appointments — brief and realistic, rather than one more to-do list.
Meet Emily
From running a busy clinic to a different way of practising
"I was a busy physiotherapist running my own clinic — until I ran headlong into what so many practitioners quietly experience: carer burnout and empathy fatigue. Getting to know dysregulation from the inside changed how I practise, and why.
"Now I bring physiotherapy together with nervous system regulation and counselling-informed support — because my clients were never only dealing with sore necks. Their nervous systems were doing their best to keep them safe."

Getting started
Begin with an initial assessment
New clients start with an initial telehealth assessment — time to understand your history, your body and what you want to change. After that, sessions are paced around what's manageable for you.
- Private clients are welcome to book directly — no referral needed.
- Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants are welcome; funding arrangements are confirmed individually before we begin.
- Session options and fees are being confirmed — the demo doesn't quote prices, and funding pathways are confirmed with you before booking.
Questions people ask
A few honest answers before you book
How do telehealth sessions actually work?
You join from your own space — home, work, anywhere private. We talk, I guide you through movement and awareness, and we adapt to your capacity on the day. You'll need a camera, microphone, internet and a private space.
Do I need a referral to book?
Not to book privately — you're welcome to book directly, any time. Referrals only become relevant for some funding pathways, which we'll confirm together.
Do I have to talk about my past?
No. You share as much or as little as feels right. This work can go well without ever discussing your history in detail — your comfort and consent lead the way.
What should I have ready for my first session?
Any referrals, imaging or test results you have on hand are helpful — but not essential. A private space and a glass of water are enough to start.
Explore the nervous system self-check
A gentle, low-pressure way to reflect on what you'd like support with — for when you're not ready to book yet. Questions and result guidance are still being finalised; this preview shows the idea, not the final quiz. It isn't a diagnosis or a health score.
Ready to ReCentre?
If any of this sounds familiar, you don't have to keep figuring it out on your own. Book a telehealth session, or send a question first — whichever feels more manageable today.
